this is very pretty and offers much to like but it’s not quite at the same level as its grand cru brethren

A moderately toasty nose combines notes of violet and plum with those of exotic tea and a hint of crushed fennel. The caressing and succulent medium bodied flavors flash more obvious minerality on the lingering mocha inflected finish that is also youthfully austere.
